The short version: the ShapeWake app collects nothing about you. This website keeps one thing, the email address you type into the waitlist, and uses it for one thing, telling you when ShapeWake launches.

The ShapeWake app

• No account. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.
• No tracking, no analytics, no ads. The app contains no analytics or advertising code and sends no usage data, crash reports or identifiers to us or to anyone else.
• Your boards stay yours. Designs are .shapewake files saved where you choose: on your Mac or iPad, or in your iCloud Drive if you save them there. iCloud is Apple's service, covered by Apple's privacy policy; we have no access to it. G‑code, PDFs, images and other exports are written only where you save them.
• Settings stay on the device. Your units, machine profile, bits and similar preferences are stored locally by the app and are never sent anywhere.
• Purchases are handled by Apple. Shaper and Shop are in-app subscriptions processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your name, card or billing details. Apple's privacy policy covers that transaction.
• Stickers and photos you import are copied into the board file on your device. They are not uploaded.

We collect no data from the app, so there is nothing for us to share, sell or delete.

This website

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist we store your email address, your answers to the two optional questions (Mac, iPad or both; whether you own a CNC), the date you signed up and, if the link you followed had one, a short tag naming where we posted it (for example ?ref=swaylocks), so we know which communities found us useful. That's all: no name, no IP address, no browser details, no tracking scripts.

• Where: in a Microsoft Azure storage account in the United States (Central US region), which only we can read.
• What for: one email to tell you ShapeWake is available. The two answers help us decide whether to launch on Mac or iPad first and how much to invest in the CNC features.
• Never sold or shared. We don't sell, rent or hand the list to anyone, and we don't use it for advertising.
• Deleted on request. Email support@shapewake.com from the address you signed up with and we'll remove it. We'll delete the list once the launch announcement has gone out and no longer needs it.

To stop automated spam, the sign-up service counts recent requests from each network address in memory for a few minutes. Those counts are never written down and disappear on their own.

Visiting the site

The site has no cookies, no analytics, no ad or tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts that watch you. It is hosted on Microsoft Azure, whose servers process the usual request details (such as your IP address) to deliver pages. The page fonts come from Google Fonts and the animation libraries from cdnjs (Cloudflare), so your browser asks those services for files like any other web request; we add nothing to those requests and receive nothing from them.

Children

ShapeWake isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their email addresses. If you think a child has joined the waitlist, write to us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If a change ever affects what the app collects, we'll say so on this page before the app update ships.
